Students Challenge Staff in the “Slam Dunk Game”

Posted on March 31, 2017

March Madness was in full force at Elsie Rogers Elementary School on Friday, March 31, as the 5th grade intramural basketball players and staff hit the floor for a friendly game of basketball. You could hear and feel the excitement as the student body cheered on their friends as well as the staff.

This event also allowed for some fundraising for the upcoming P-H-M Silver Mile Run for Education & Health and Fitness Fair on Saturday, May 6. Students could donate money to shoot either a free throw or a bank shot at halftime. If the shot was made, the student won ice cream as a prize. All money raised goes to the Penn-Harris-Madison Education Foundation, which supports value add educational programs across the P-H-M school district by awarding innovative teaching grants, scholarships to students, staff development and other corporation-wide initiatives.

The school raised $212. Way to go Roadrunners!
